Seasonal Drinks Flavours: Extending the Brand Without a Redesign

Launch a seasonal drinks flavour using controlled identity changes and a clear stock and image rollout.

A seasonal drinks flavour should feel recognisably related to the core range while clearly identifying its difference. Start with the approved product name and flavour system. Decide whether the launch is a new variant, a gift format or simply a temporary graphic treatment.

Test it against the closest existing flavour

A hypothetical winter berry drink may sit close to an existing red-fruit variant. Compare them together rather than approving the seasonal pack alone. Strengthen the written name or supporting graphic if the distinction relies on a subtle colour difference.

Control claims and availability language

Have the business approve any edition wording, product statements and availability messaging. Do not invent scarcity or a seasonal end date to make the pack sound more urgent. Keep the design connected to the actual launch and stock plan.

Prepare the full asset switch

List can or bottle artwork, multipacks, trade sheets and ecommerce renders. Keep the core range files intact and label seasonal versions clearly.

Studio perspective

The studio recommendation is a planned extension with a defined exit or continuation decision, not a small launch that accidentally fragments the identity.

Practical review checklist

  • Edition scope
  • Closest-variant comparison
  • Approved availability wording
  • Complete asset rollout

Only if shape, material and artwork remain accurate; review the whole output.
