Product animation for brand launches
Give the product a launch moment that still feels like the brand.
Focused product motion for pack reveals, 360 rotations, social launches and website heroes, built around a clear story, accurate assets and channel-specific delivery.
- Best for
- Launches, social and ecommerce
- Core formats
- Reveals, rotations and loops
- Outputs
- Vertical, square and landscape
Motion with a commercial role
Use movement to reveal what matters about the product.
Product animation can explain form, reveal a range, dramatise a finish or create a memorable launch asset without the logistics of a physical shoot.
I develop the motion around one clear communication idea, then adapt timing, framing and edit length for the channels in which it will appear.
Three animation priorities
A simple story, credible product and disciplined timing.
The strongest motion route gives the viewer enough time to recognise the brand and product instead of hiding them behind effects.
-
Product legibility
Keep the name, pack shape and important details readable during the key moments.
-
Brand-led motion
Use pace, transitions, light and sound direction that belong to the identity.
-
Platform fit
Plan safe zones, duration, aspect ratios and looping behaviour around the intended channels.

Motion production
Aspect ratio, duration and safe zones belong in the brief.
A website loop, paid social edit and retailer screen asset have different timing, cropping, file-size and caption requirements. Primary and secondary formats are agreed before animation begins.
Final product geometry, artwork, claims, audio rights and platform specifications must be approved. Any provisional packaging or unconfirmed production finish is documented as a visual assumption.
A clear working process
From message and storyboard to channel-ready motion.
-
Frame
Define the audience, single message, channels, duration, aspect ratios and call to action.
-
Plan
Agree a treatment, key frames and motion sequence before detailed production.
-
Animate
Build the product, lighting, camera, transitions and timing through staged previews.
-
Deliver
Export approved master and channel-specific versions to the agreed specifications.
Final geometry, artwork, claims, platform specifications and usage approval must be supplied or confirmed by the client before release.
Product animation scope
A controlled motion system for the launch.
The scope is based on length, product complexity, number of shots, simulation, sound, aspect ratios and revision stages.
- Creative treatment and key frames
- Product model and material setup
- Pack reveal or 360 animation
- Lighting and camera animation
- Social and website edits
- Channel-ready final exports
Before the project begins
Product Animation questions.
How long should a product animation be?
It depends on the channel and message. Short loops may be only a few seconds, while a launch edit may need more time to establish the product and call to action.
Can one animation work across every platform?
A master idea can, but vertical, square and landscape outputs usually need adjusted framing, timing or text placement.
Do I need a 3D product model?
Not always. A model can be created from confirmed dimensions or CAD, but source quality affects accuracy, cost and schedule.
Can sound be included?
Yes, if agreed in scope. Music and sound effects require suitable commercial usage rights.
Can you animate packaging before production?
Yes. The animation can support a pre-launch, but provisional geometry, artwork or finishes should be identified and updated if production changes.
