Lifestyle product imagery
Put the product in a world customers want to enter.
Art-directed lifestyle images that connect packaging with a mood, occasion and audience across campaigns, ecommerce, retail presentations and social launch content.
- Best for
- Campaigns, launches and ecommerce
- Approach
- CGI, compositing or hybrid
- Outputs
- Channel-ready image sets
Context creates desire
Show how the product belongs in a real moment.
A packshot proves what the product looks like. A lifestyle image gives it atmosphere, scale, occasion and emotional relevance.
I create a clear visual territory around the brand, then build a set of compositions that keeps the product recognisable while extending the identity into campaign-ready environments.
Three image priorities
Product clarity, brand atmosphere and useful crops.
The scene should strengthen the product story without making the pack feel incidental or difficult to identify.
-
Hero product
Keep the pack readable, accurately scaled and clearly connected to the focal story.
-
Ownable world
Use colour, props, surface, light and composition that extend the brand rather than follow a generic trend.
-
Campaign flexibility
Plan negative space, aspect ratios and crop variations around real channel requirements.

Image production
Every prop, crop and claim needs a reason to be there.
The image plan identifies usage, aspect ratios, product variants, required copy space and the visual role of ingredients, props or people before final production.
CGI and compositing require approved artwork and reliable references. Any people, third-party products, locations, fonts or stock elements must have suitable rights for the intended commercial use.
A clear working process
From campaign territory to a finished image set.
-
Brief
Confirm the audience, product story, channels, image count, formats and launch schedule.
-
Direct
Build a visual territory, reference board and representative composition plan.
-
Create
Produce CGI, compositing or hybrid scenes through staged low-resolution reviews.
-
Finish
Refine, retouch and export approved high-resolution images and crops.
Final geometry, artwork, claims, platform specifications and usage approval must be supplied or confirmed by the client before release.
Lifestyle image scope
A visual asset set built around the launch channels.
The scope depends on product complexity, image count, scene detail, people, props, formats and required resolution.
- Campaign mood and art direction
- Product-led lifestyle compositions
- CGI or composited scenes
- Ingredient and detail imagery
- Social and ecommerce crops
- High-resolution final exports
Before the project begins
Lifestyle Images questions.
Are the lifestyle images photography or CGI?
They can be CGI, composited, photographic or hybrid. The approach is selected around the product, realism, budget, schedule and required scenes.
Can you work before physical products are ready?
Yes. Approved 3D models and artwork can support pre-launch images, provided any unconfirmed production details are clearly understood.
Can one image be cropped for every platform?
Sometimes, but a planned set of compositions is safer. Vertical, square and landscape crops can require different product scale and negative space.
Can people appear in the imagery?
Yes, through suitable photography, licensed stock or a specifically agreed production route. Talent usage and authenticity need careful approval.
Will you provide image alt text?
Descriptive alt text can be supplied for agreed web assets, focused on the product and relevant visible context.
