01

A clear idea, brought to life with purpose.

02

About the project

Malt drink can redesign for AFRIMALT retains the lions, star and red-and-gold identity while improving hierarchy across print-ready 500 ml artwork and renders.

03

The design response

The redesign retains AFRIMALT’s lions, central star and red-and-gold character, then strengthens them through a radial construction, brighter colour and a clearer wordmark. Category, brand, product and serving information now follow a deliberate reading order.

The complete print master organises multilingual ingredients, nutrition, contact details, barcode, QR code and recycling symbols around the reverse. Accurate renders and cold-refreshment campaign images show the can consistently across practical packshots, retailer presentations and expressive advertising.

Built to stand out. Structured to stay clear.

  1. 01

    Distinctive identity

Build a recognisable visual idea that gives the project its own clear point of view.

  2. 02

    Clear communication

Organise the message so the audience can understand the product quickly and confidently.

  3. 03

    Designed for context

Create a flexible system that stays coherent wherever the brand needs to appear.

A distinctive idea designed to work everywhere.

The redesign keeps the product’s memory while removing the limits of the previous hierarchy.

The lions and star are tightened into a compact focal point rather than discarded. A cleaner white wordmark and brighter metallic red improve recognition, while fine dark-red lines radiate from the central mark to create movement across the tall 500 ml can.

NON ALCOHOLIC establishes the category, followed by the crest, AFRIMALT name and MALT DRINK description. Serving guidance and volume complete the front panel, while production-heavy content is contained around the reverse without disturbing the expressive face of the pack.

Clear ice, water droplets, silver aluminium and dark caramel malt extend the red-and-gold identity into a sensory campaign world. Contemporary adult social settings add warmth while keeping the can central.
