A useful starting point
A better brief gets to the right scope faster.
You do not need every answer before getting in touch. A few practical details help separate an identity brief from a packaging system, artwork rollout or supplier-led production task.
Product and market
What is being sold, who is buying it, where it will launch and what must change in the way the product is understood.
Pack and range
The intended bottle, box, pouch, label or tube format, plus sizes, flavours, strengths and the number of SKUs in the range.
Production status
Whether a manufacturer is appointed, a dieline is approved and print method, materials, finishes or coding zones are already confirmed.
Timing and scope
Your target launch, internal decision dates and whether you need strategy, identity, packaging concepts, artwork, renders or a connected programme.
What happens next
A clear response, not a vague sales chase.

01
I read the brief
The product, commercial objective, format, supplier status, outputs and timing are reviewed together.
-
02
I identify the right start
I separate the decisions that need design input from the information that must come from the brand, supplier or specialist.

03
You get a next step
If the project is a fit, I reply with the useful questions, recommended route and what is needed to define scope and timing.
Prefer to talk first?
Some projects are easier to explain out loud.
Book a focused 30 minute call to talk through the product, packaging status and the decision that needs to happen next.
